The I am Cait star, 69, will always have the last word when it comes to her gender transition. It probably took a lot of strength of mind for Bruce Jenner, Kendal, and Kylie Jenner’s father to come out a trans woman in 2015.
Caitlyn, who made a presence at Comedy Central’s Roast of Alec Baldwin, made some comments about her penis. “All of you are making these silly comments and jokes about how I cut [my penis] off,” she said. “It made Kendall Jenner, the highest-paid model in the world. I raised 10 children. I currently, well, I’m coming up on 20 grandchildren. I didn’t cut it off. I just retired it. It was done.”
In April 2015, William Bruce Jenner came out as a trans woman in an interview with Diane Sawyer on 20/20. A few months later, she changed her name to Caitlyn Marie and in January 2017 she underwent a sex reassignment to complete her transformation. Despite the procedure, the reality star clarified that she felt like a woman whether she received the surgery or not.
“I wasn’t less a woman the day before I had the surgery than the day after the surgery, because that did not define who I am as a human being,” she said, adding that what makes a woman a woman is “what’s between your ears.”
The Roast of Alec Baldwin aired on Comedy Central on Sunday, September 15.
